ABOUT THE PATTERN

Beginner-friendly hat.

Basic Beanie is easy, fun, and quick to knit. The pattern is designed for beginners and therefore includes video guides for all techniques, and uses no difficult techniques or abbreviations. 

The Basic Beanie is knitted bottom-up, in rib (k1, p1) on 6 mm circular needles.
Size 1 fits children from approx. 3 years and up, size 2 fits women, and size 3 fits men.

MATERIALS NEEDED

SUGGESTED CIRCULAR NEEDLES
6 mm, 40 cm

GAUGE
16 stitches in rib (k1, p1), on 6 mm needles (or the needle size you need to achieve gauge) = 10 cm

YARN REQUIREMENT
approx. 120 g yarn scraps 
OR 50 g Double Sunday from Sandnes 100% merino wool, 108m/50g 
together with 50 g Angora from Mondial, 80% Angora & 20% Nylon, 112m/25g
