ABOUT THE PROJECT
Cute Collar Cardigan is a stylish cardigan with a high collar and crocheted button bands that create awesome retro vibes. It is worked top-down using size 10 mm needles | US size 15 with raglan increases and purl rows surrounding the edges.
The pattern is simple yet elegant and beginner-friendly. The chunky needles makes for a quick project!
Positive ease (approx.) 10 cm (roughly 4 inches). Make sure to measure the widest point on your bust and add 10 cm to find your ideal size. You can choose a size below your chest measurement for a tighter fit or a larger size for an oversized cardigan.
Yarn alternatives
When using yarn alternatives and scraps, make sure to always create a swatch to ensure you achieve the recommended gauge. Adjust needle size if needed. If you have too few stitches on 10 cm, consider removing a strand. Likewise, if you have too many stitches, try adding another strand.
Consider texture and appearance when choosing yarn. Nepal is a structured yarn, while Melody is soft and airy. To maintain a light feel, try yarns like mohair, blown yarn, or alpaca blends.
