A light and airy top with a feminine hole in the back and a relaxed, modern fit.

First, the back is worked flat from top down, where the opening in back is shaped along the way. Next, stitches are picked up along the cast-on edge of the back to work the shoulders on the front piece. The fronts are then joined and worked down to the armholes, after which the front and back pieces are joined, and the body is worked in the round to the desired length.

The sleeves are shaped by picking up stitches around the armholes and work short, loose-fitting sleeves. The final touch is working a small rib edge around the opening in the back. The neckline is finished by crocheting a scalloped edging.

FIT OF THE TOP
The Elf Girl Top has a short, wide and semi-boxy fit with approx. 15 cm | 5.9 in positive ease. That means that the top is designed to be 15 cm larger than your chest circumference. The fit gives room to move around and a relaxed look, while the top drapes beautifully and loosely around the body.

The top is cropped and designed to end around the waistline. If you want a longer fit, you can easily add length before binding off.

Sizing

Measure your chest circumference around the fullest part of your bust. The measuring tape should lie horizontally around your body without pulling tight.

Then, add approx. 15 cm | 5.9 inches to your chest measurement and choose the size closest to your measurements.

For instance:

• Chest circumference 89 cm + 15 cm = 104 cm | 35 in + 5.9 in = 40.9 in → choose size S

• Chest circumference 117 cm + 15 cm = 132 cm | 46.1 in + 5.9 in = 52.0 in → choose size XXL

If you want a tighter fit, you can go down a size. If you want a more oversized fit, you can go up a size. The model is shown with a positive ease of approx. 15 cm | 5.9 in.
