This one is for all you crazy cat ladies out there. Can a sweater only get better by adding a cat? I think we can agree on that.

This is a pattern for a crocheted cat appliqué that can be sewn onto anything - here it is sewn onto the Begynder Blusen.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES/CROCHET HOOK

Crochet hook 3 mm (for the cat)

Double pointed needles 2.5 mm (for bows)

YARN SUGGESTIONS

For the cat Drops Alpaca, 100% Alpaca, 50 g = 167 meters (max 20 g) held double or scrap yarn from your stash with similar thickness.

For the bows Drops Fabel 75% Wool, 25% Polyamide, 50 g = 205 meters (max 20 g) or scrap yarn from your stash with similar thickness.

The pattern for the crocheted cat was developed in collaboration with Louise Johannesen, who interned with me in autumn 2025. She has jazzed up the pattern with fantastic illustrations that truly match the cat's playfulness.
