Construction

Lotus Slipover is a relaxed V-neck vest worked from the top down. The back and two front sections are worked flat, then joined at the underarms to work the body in the round. Ribbing finishes the hem, armholes and neckline. The length can be adjusted as you go.

Fit

Designed with approximately 25 cm (9.8 in) of positive ease. Sizes S (M) L (XL) XXL are intended for a bust circumference of approximately 86 (94) 102 (110) 118 cm / 33.9 (37) 40.2 (43.3) 46.5 in.

Sizes and finished measurements

Length is measured at the centre back. Inch measurements are approximate.

Needles & gauge

9 mm circular needles, 60/80 cm (24/32 in), and 6 mm circular needles, 40/60/80 cm (16/24/32 in), for ribbing.
10 stitches in stockinette stitch = 10 cm (4 in) on 9 mm needles, or the size needed to obtain gauge.

Yarn: Handspun + brushed yarn + fine wool

Work with 3 strands held together: one strand of handspun yarn (approx. 100–140 m/50 g), one strand of airy, brushed wool or alpaca (approx. 140 m/50 g) and one strand of fine wool (approx. 250–300 m/50 g).

Amounts are approximate and rounded up to the nearest 25 g. The pink sample in size M uses brown/beige handspun yarn, a pink brushed strand and a fine grey wool strand. Other leftover yarns can be used if you obtain the correct gauge.
