ABOUT THE WORK
The Playful Hoodie is knitted top down on 5 mm needles. It has a large hood and an easy pattern consisting of knit and purl stitches, as well as stitches that are loosely lifted.
First, the back piece is knitted down to the armhole. Then the front piece is knitted by picking up stitches along the cast-on edge of the back piece. First, the 2 shoulders of the front piece are knitted, increases are made for the neck and the two shoulder pieces are joined, after which the front piece is knitted down to the armhole and joined with the back piece. The body is knitted in the round and then the hood is knitted, which is shaped with reverse knitting needles and finished with a drawstring and cord in the front.
Finally, the sleeves are knitted by picking up stitches along the body. The sleeves are finished with a drawstring and cord, which makes it possible to adjust the width of the wrist.
Pattern and design were made in collaboration with Lea Kønig Hansen, who was an intern at Frejasknit in the fall of 2025.
FIT
The measurements given are the finished measurements of the blouse. It is intended to have a large positive ease of 40 cm. For example; your chest measurement 96 + 40 = 136, so you should knit size M.
If you want a sweater with a more classic fit, choose a size that gives you a positive ease of 20 cm.
YARN
The red sweater is knitted in Nepal from Drops color code 2920.
The beige sweater is knitted in Nepal from Drops color code 0300.
NOTE: Nepal from Drops must be HAND WASHED!
