ABOUT THE WORK
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE
The elf girl's top is inspired by an elf girl with a hole in her back. A mysterious feminine creature who dances all night long.
The top is knitted from the top down on needle size 10, except for the hole in the back, which is knitted on needle size 6.5.
The sleeves are made by picking up stitches along the armhole and knitting in reverse rows to give it shape. Finally, pick up stitches along the hole in the back and knit a rib edge.
Then crochet a scalloped edge around the neckline.
The top is short with a wide "boxy" and slightly oversized fit.
YARN
I have used a relatively thick mohair for the top in the picture. Experiment, with the very thin mohair qualities you need to lay 3-4 strands together to achieve the knitting tension. You can also experiment with other types of yarn, the most important thing is that you achieve the knitting tension (somewhat)
For the hole in the back I have chosen a single strand of thin mohair. For the collar I have used cotton yarn.

Is your yarn stock low - or does it just need a breath of fresh air? Then buy a Stopgarnspil package from Garnspecialisten, which sells deadstock and surplus yarn that would have been burned if they hadn't saved it.
