"Thank you so much for a really great workshop! I haven't dared to start knitting with leftover yarn, colors and different textures before. I've only stuck to the "pattern" and yarn recommendations. But NOW I dare to freestyle! It went so well today 💪 Thank you for inspiring and making an otherwise overwhelming design process so easy and really interesting 🧶🙌"

Workshops and lectures

I give both lectures and workshops around the country – for libraries, associations, knitting clubs, and anyone who fancies an evening filled with yarn, inspiration, and good conversations.

Workshop: Knitting Magic with Yarn Scraps

Join us for a creative and relaxed workshop where we delve into the magic of scrap yarn.

I'll bring plenty of yarn and inspiration, and you'll learn to:

• match your gauge

• combine colors

• use the scraps you already have at home

• tie and work with knots

We'll create a magic ball, from which you'll knit a hat.

Each participant will receive 100 grams of yarn and a hat pattern to take home – you just need to bring 6 mm knitting needles and a pair of scissors.

The workshop is based on my lifelong experience in knitting with scrap yarn and my new book “Knitting Magic with Scrap Yarn” (Turbine, published October 31, 2025), which is about finding joy, peace, and creativity in what we already have.

The book can be borrowed from the library or purchased to take home – and serves as a wonderful way to delve deeper after the workshop.

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours

Number of participants: up to 25 people – for more participants, an additional charge for materials will apply

"I've never really wanted to knit with scraps before, but now my fingers are itching to get home and start!"

Talk: From Educator to Knitwear Designer

A personal and life-affirming talk about finding your way – and how knitting can be therapy, community, and creative freedom all at once.

I'll share my journey from educator to knitwear designer, about receiving an ADHD diagnosis, and about creating a daily life where I can thrive without medication.

Along the way, I'll share stories and experiences from working on my book “Knitting Magic with Yarn Scraps” – and I'll show how knitting with scraps isn't just about yarn, but also about using what we already have with care and joy.

There will be room for laughter, recognition, and good conversations about colours, creativity, and imperfection.

The talk lasts approximately 1 hour including questions and can be adapted to different audiences and themes.

“I could really see myself in your talk. It deeply moved me to hear your story – thank you for sharing so honestly.”
