ABOUT THE WORK
DIFFICULTY: Beginner

Beginner-friendly and unique trousers with a relaxed fit.

The trousers are knitted top-down on a 6mm circular needle, preferably 40cm long. Short rows are worked on the back piece to make the trousers higher at the back. Then increases are made, also on the back piece. After this, the legs are finished one at a time. A "patch" in purl stitches is knitted at the knee. The legs are wide and finished with a ribbed edge that tightens them at the feet.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years

Recommended needles; 5mm 40 / 60cm

Gauge 15 stitches in stockinette stitch on 5mm needles = 10cm

Materials 200-500g yarn scraps

E.g., 2 strands of Drops Sunday or similar - sock yarn is good as it is durable.

Trouser elastic for the waist

MEASUREMENTS:
Waist circumference: 50, 51, 52, 53, 54cm
Leg length (measured from crotch): 25 (29) 33 (36) 39 cm
