ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Playful Hoodie is worked from the top and down using circular needles 5 mm | US8. It has a big hoodie and an easy textured pattern consisting of knit and purl stitches and slipped stitches.

First, the back piece is worked all the way to the armhole, then the front pieces are worked by picking up stitches along the cast-on edge from the back piece. The shoulders are shaped by working increases to the neckline, whereafter the fronts are joined and worked flat to the armholes and finally joined with the back piece. The body is worked in the round. The hoodie is worked in the end and shaped using short rows. It is finished with a casing and an i-cord in the front.

In the end, the sleeves are worked separate by picking up stitches along the body. They are finished with a casing and icord, making it adjustable around your wrist.

The pattern is designed together with Lea Kønig Hansen, who did her apprenticeship with Frejasknit during the fall of 2025.

Positive ease
The finished measurements of the sweater are the ones on the first page. It is designed to be worn with a large positive wase of 40 cm | 10 in of positive ease at the bust. If your bust circumference is 96 + 40 = 136 cm | 37.8 + 15.8 = 53.5 in, meaning you need to follow a size M. If you want a more traditional fit of a sweater, choose an appropriate size with a positive ease of 20 cm.

YARN
The red sweater is worked using Nepal by Drops in colorway 2920
The beige sweater is worked using Nepal by Drops in colorway 0206
