About the pattern
This pattern is truly like no other, standing out with its deconstructed sleeves, which are incredibly fun to make. The garment is worked using scrap yarn. If you’re new to knitting with scrap yarn, I have added a guide in the end of the pattern.
The sweater is worked from the bottom up.
The first section is worked in rounds using circular needles, followed by dividing the work into front and back pieces, which are finished separately. The sleeves can either be worked top down or from the bottom up depending on your preference.
Knitting them top down allows you to easier decide the exact length, whereas the downside is that you have to sit with the entire project in your lap during the process.
The bottom of the sleeves are where the two slits are created by binding off stitches and casting on new ones using loop cast on.
Yarn suggestion: 1 strain of yarn suitable for size 8/9 needles + 1 strain of yarn suitable for size 3/4 mm needles
OR 2 strains suitable for size 5 needles + 1 strain of mohair – make a gauge swatch to ensure that the gauge matches.
Jeg er vild med Frejas knit og projekter. Dejligt med nye, ikke helt almindelige opskrifter og resultater. Fortsæt på den måde, er vild med det. Mange hilsener Birte
