You will need this:

Approx. 100 grams of yarn scraps - preferably some thick yarn such as Drops Eskimo or Natural Wool put together with a thinner thread - e.g. stocking yarn or Drops Sunday. If you have glitter or other effect yarn lying around, just bring it along.

A circular needle (40cm), 10mM

Knitting tension: 9 stitches in rib on needle 10, knit 2, purl 2 = 10cm
