ABOUT THE WORK
The Christmas ball is knitted back and forth on either needle 3, 4 or 5.
It is made in sets of 3, one for each stick size.
Increases are made by turning the needle over, from the wrong side. The wraps are knitted twisted straight on the next needle.
Before the ball is sewn together, a ribbon for suspension is placed at the top of the ball.
The Christmas ball is finished with a crocheted suspension/top.
Mix a lot of different yarns, knit stripes or knit the Christmas ball in one colour.
You can also thread beads onto the yarn for a beautiful and festive effect.
You can mix any kind of yarn, as long as it is roughly the same thickness. If you can't hit the specified knitting tension, it doesn't matter, the ball will just be a little bigger or smaller. But it is important that the stitches are close so that there are no large air holes in the stitches, so you can see the filling inside the ball.
